Gilbert and Jeza’s story is one of the few that my husband and I can relate to. Just like us, their whole engagement was short and each day was a struggle.
Jeza has been single for a while when her tita decided to match her up with a US Army guy she met from Korea. And boy was her tita so direct to Gilbert before deciding to finally introduce them.
“Gilbert kung balak mo lang saktan si Jeza wag na. Mahal ng buong pamilya namin yan.”
Fast forward, this two clicked! Jeza was scheduled to fly to Qatar but when they finally decided to be together, they both took the leap of faith.
“It was not easy, living the life of army wife. The travels, the transfers from one place to another, being a Filipina it was so overwhelming at that time. We were constantly fighting and I’d get mad at him for almost everything. I thought we would come to an end… but luckily we were introduced to Him. I lifted everything to God and in a snap, it just all fell into place.”
It was such a beautiful testimony hearing it from Jeza. That is why when she requested Touch the Sky for their SDE, we got so excited.
Their wedding was intimate and emotional, and we are just so lucky not to just witness but also document this day for the couple as well.
